Best DMS-59 Cables
What exactly is DMS-59?
DMS-59 is an acronym for Dual Monitor Solution, 59 pins. The DMS-59 connector is used with video cards to connect two monitors via a single connector. The big advantage of this approach is that the connector takes up only half the space compared to two standard DVI connectors. This makes it possible to connect two monitors with a DMS-59 on a low profile card. Two connectors can be placed on a normal video card so that four monitors can be connected to one card.
The connector is very similar to Low Force Helix, LFH-60 pin connector, which was widely used for workstations. The big difference is to leave one pin in the bottom of the four rows of pins in both the male and female connectors. This prevents the older LFH-60 plug from fitting into the newer DMS-59 connector. Since this connector supports the transfer of DVI-I, there are three options for connecting a monitor. This allows monitors with three different connections to be connected. Monitors with a DVI connection, with a VGA connection or with an HDMI connection.
DMS-59 adapter cable
To connect one or two monitors to a video card with DMS-59 connection, an adapter cable is always required. This connector supports DVI-I where the “I” stands for integrated. The digital and analog video signal is combined in a single connector. Using DMS-59, each of the two monitor connections can be independently selected to connect an analog VGA or a digital DVI monitor. It is therefore possible to connect two analog VGA monitors, two digital DVI monitors, or an analog VGA monitor and a digital DVI monitor.
In addition, it is also possible to choose to connect two HDMI monitors, an HDMI monitor and HDMI beamer or to connect two DisplayPort monitors. Make sure to buy the appropriate DMS-59 adapter cable for every connection combination. Below you will find an overview of our DMS-59 cables.

This makes the DMS-59 video card connection a particularly versatile and compact monitor connection.
VHDCI-68 connector
The VHDCI-68 connector is a connector originally introduced as an external SCSI-3 connector. With this connector, it was possible to place four wide SCSI channels on the back of one PCI card. Due to its small size, the VHDCI-68 connector is also used by video card manufacturers.
The VHDCI-68 easily fits on a low profile PCI card and offers the possibility to connect four monitors by means of an adapter cable. Nvidia supplies low profile cards that are particularly suitable for a small form factor system, to which four HD monitors can easily be connected using the correct adapter cable. Because the video signal is compatible with DVI-I, you can choose from various methods for connecting your monitors. You can choose between, DVI, VGA and HDMI. You can buy a suitable VHDCI-68 adapter cable for every standard.
